Another Boy Scout works for his Eagle Scout Medal and improves the Community. It is interesting to visit the Clinton Township/Factoryville Borough Community Park and observe the Accidental(Occidental)Animal Area. The area is fenced in, with benches for the animal owners, plastic bags, (if you do not carry your own) and a great area for the dogs to run without a leash. It is hoped that the owners will not allow the dogs to run in the open areas while the children have their games.

Georgie Fields writes that the Factoryville Public Library just received some mysteries written by great authors. These include Janet Evanovich, M.C. Beaton, Catherine Coulter, Lisia Gardener, Stuart Woods and many more. For more information call the library @ 945-3788.

Jamie Reese (a senior at Lackawanna Trail High School) completed an eagle scout project called "Picnic Tables for the parks of Factoryville." Jamie is also working on the school's canned food drive.

Emily Scauppatura, also a senior at Trail, was presented an award by Trail Rotary President Don Demarest. The award designated Emily as Senior Class Student of the Month. Emily is working on a senior video of the year 2012 which will represent the entire class. Early high school and senior photos will be present in the slideshow.
