The Factoryville Shade Tree Commission celebrates Arbor Day every year in April, in 2010 students from Lackawanna Trail High School planted 20 trees and helped us celebrate our 11th year of being recognized as a Tree City USA community.
Gardens at Christy Mathewson Park are cared for by volunteers.
If you are interested in helping to maintain our park, please call the borough hall office at 945-7484 extension 3 for The Shade Tree Commission and leave a message that you are interested in adopting a garden to apply mulch which is provided by the shade tree commission and to keep out all the weeds. We will call you right back with all of the details!
Families that adopt a garden get their name on the garden and lots of thanks from the Shade Tree Commission.....
Thank you to our adopt a garden families.
