Projects that were completed in Factoryville in 2007:
Park Project - The Clinton Township - Factoryville Borough Joint Municipal park located at 154 Creek Road in Clinton Township just across the street from the Clinton Township Municipal building. Construction of the new park began in May 2007. The phase one construction is complete. We are just allowing the grass to grow and get established. Recreation on the fields will begin in August 2008.
If you have a child age 4 - 13 interested in playing soccer this fall please call 945-7484 and leave a message with the age, phone number, and names of children interested in soccer.
Phase One completed the access road, first parking area, first multipurpose field for Soccer, Football, and Field Hockey, and a retention basin for stormwater.

The park project is funded by:
$165,000 grant from the Park and Recreation Division of DCNR
(Department of Conservation and Natural Resources)
Over $130,000 in private donations.
The Joint Park and Recreation Board Members, Liz Ratchford, Tom Davis, and many others worked to solicit donations from our local businesses, residents, and held fundraisers to help match this grant funding.
$15,000 from Factoryville Borough and $15,000 from Clinton Township

Multipurpose field under construction May 2007
College Avenue Streetscape Project
This project included new sidewalks to both sides of College Avenue, a paved public parking area across from Rays Market, new streetlights, new decorative steel utility poles, and handicapped access to all curbs and sidewalks. Trees and landscaping will also be part of this exciting project.

Before new sidewalks.....
After new sidewalks and plants along College Avenue.
This project funded by multiple state and federal funding sources.
4 different funding programs through the Transportation Enhancement Program, these federal funds help communities improve their main street to enhance pedestrian transportation.
CDBG funding, federal funds to help with handicapped accessibility.
Aqua Pennsylvania helped with a donation to help complete the concrete sidewalks along College Avenue as part of their water line replacement project.
Keystone College has been an important community partner in this project and has provided financial assistance to help make this project a reality.
The total amount of funds secured for this project are over a million dollars.
Road Paving along College Avenue will be started again in August 2008. College Avenue and Civic Club Way will be paved soon. This paving will be provided through PENN DOT completing the College Avenue Streetscape Project.
~ Please be patient during road paving..... Temporary inconvience for permanent improvements!
